Professional boundaries are vital in child care because we have a responsibility to children under our care to do things to the best of our ability and to ensure that our communication, help and support does not send mixed signals.
Working with difficult issues with children can also be very stressful, and professional boundaries help us to manage ourselves and our emotions.
To reinforce safety education among children and youth in Kenya, Simba-Safe collaborates with
- Teachers – a student’s most important instructor with the power to reinforce the skills formally at school.
- Parents – aspects of the program create a healthy emotional development and will also build trust and opportunities for character building between parent and child.
- Caregivers –A child’s trustee between school and home (nanny) who reinforces the skills informally.
